I think it’s an understatement when I say we’re all ready for spring. Bloggers everywhere are donning their silk floral tops and pastels in anticipation of its imminent arrival. I won’t even mention our west coast friends who’ve been wearing shorts and sandals on every other blog post as if it’s normal. Well, I guess it is for them. I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little jealous, maybe even a little bitter. You’d think spring was just around the corner. And yet, when I look out my window at the mounds of unmelted snow, there is absolutely no indication that spring is due to arrive anytime soon. I, for one, am not wasting my breath. I’m putting on my rose colored shades and just pretending spring is already here. Don’t judge. This is how I cope.
I’m in love with the pastels this spring season especially the blush trend and all the shades of pastel pink I’ve been seeing like this Gap sweater. I finally found the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans at Express. Thank you Gina and Carylee for making me feel compelled to go try on a pair of Express jeans. I don’t know why I didn’t think to look there to begin with. I tried quite a few pairs before I found these and felt like everything else made me look dowdy. I realized that the “true” baggy boyfriend jeans just don’t look right on me. So I had to go for a more slim fitting boyfriend jeans look. Lastly, one of my recent lucky finds was this pair of calfskin leopard print heels from Cole Haan. I love its classic silhouette.
Today’s natural high: Going rollerskating with the girls and reliving my youth.

Hello Cyntia! Maybe you understand me when I say that I would love to feel the winter! Winter time here means a cold wind after the rain! 🙁
I’m also in love with the pastels. Yes, you have to thank you your friends because you look amazing! Always elegant!
Kisses,
Cris.
Thanks for the sweet comments, Cris. You may love to feel the winter here for a day, possibly a week, but not for half the year! I miss Rio’s tropical climate.
Well, maybe you are right! I just want some dry cold days here! 🙂
Pastels, so pretty. Love the sweater.
Thanks for stopping by!
Such a cute look! I love the pastel sweater and necklace! Super cute shoes too, I love anything leopard.

Eek! First things first, I’m thrilled that you gave Express jeans a try thanks to C & me. 🙂 Maybe I’m a little biased, but they really do look fabulous on you! And I honestly love how you styled them, too…so perfect with the soft, pretty pink sweater and leopard pumps. Love it!! -Gina

You look SO good. I’m so glad you found some boyfriend jeans. They are the best. And seriously. This snow? What are we going to do? I’m about ready to lose it. I’m so tired of my warm clothes I could spit, which is gross… But you know…
I think I’ve already lost it.
I’m so happy!!! Clearly Gina and I are over the moon that you found something that worked for you! They really do look great on you, and to be quite honest, I wouldn’t have even thought they were Express until you mentioned them. The fit suits you perfectly! And I agree with Renata up there that I need to do the blush pink and leopard combo! Hoping spring comes to you quickly!! Thanks so much for sharing with Manic Monday!
Thanks, Carylee! You and Gina have the most helpful tips.
Such a pretty look! Those shoes are too fab!
Thanks, Kristin! Thanks for stopping by.
I love this from head to heel. I too am stuck in a winter rut. The only answer is pops of color like you effortlessly produced here.
Totally agree on the pops of color. Thanks for stopping by!
Because of this post, I have bought the tri necklace and the sweater. I love this look.

Thanks, Skye! I can’t wait to see them on you!

You are not the only one feeling jealous of those west coast gals right now – and if pastel sweaters are the best we can do to get a feeling of spring fashion right now, then so be it.
That express jeans are stunning! I hope the weather gets better soon. Over here on this side of the planet we are definitely feeling the change.. is getting warmer!

Oh man, I am SO ready for spring! I need to take a cue from you and wear some springy colored sweaters while we wait for the snow and ice to clear up! I love those layered necklaces!
I would totally wear every piece of this outfit! Those leopard pumps are amazing. Love the block heel. So cute paired with pink and boyfriend jeans!
I’m loving all of the pink too and that sweater is so pretty and soft looking. Hey, nothing wrong with being bitter…winter needs to go! And if those rose colored shades get it here faster I’m picking up a pair!
