Outfit Highlight: The Spring Pullover

The Spring Pullover
I typically stop buying sweaters towards the end of winter because when transitioning into spring, I’ve never felt much need for one. It’s always been winter wool sweaters straight into long sleeve tees, button downs and silk tops. However, this year is a different story. The temperatures are slowly warming up but there is still a chill in the air that makes me want to reach for a cozy sweater. I call them spring pullovers. I’ve already bought three different ones this season. The ones I’ve purchased are lighter in material and color than winter sweaters and can be easily pulled over a light spring top in the mornings and evenings when it’s a little chilly, or tied around the waist during the day when it’s warmer. Luckily, I’ve been able to find bargain priced sweaters to my liking. This one is from Forever 21 and also comes in powder pink. I paired it with Gray white jeans that I found at Saks Off 5th. I had no idea that Saks Off 5th had private labels but apparently, Gray Saks Fifth Avenue is one of them. I found a couple of these Gray brand jeans online but the store offers more selections. I couldn’t resist the color of these Jessica Simpson tie-up sandals. The neutral color goes with everything and they’re surprisingly comfortable. I was glad to be able to forego the wool coat or puffy jacket and put on a spring jacket for a couple of days this past week. Slowly but surely, spring is making its entrance.

Today I’m sharing my wishlist over at On the Daily Express, so make sure to check it out if you want to know what I have my eyes on at Express! And while you’re there, don’t forget to link up with Manic Monday, hosted by the fabulous ladies from On the Daily Express and More Pieces of Me.

    • Love those shoes! I tend to get dressed based off of how cold/warm I am when I wake up, which is a horrible indicator, since most time I’m cold when I wake up, so I ALWAYS dress too warm.

  1. Lovely outfit! Grey and white is such a pretty color combo. I have that same J. Crew jacket and love it… the material has great structure and it’s so versatile. Have a wonderful day!

  2. Can I just say that I am SO thankful that our blog lives have crossed because I pull so much inspiration from your looks! Always so perfect and effortless! Those booties had me at hello!
Enjoyed Gina’s feature of you as well!

  3. Great job on Manic Monday! Now you know you can’t put pullovers on your blog without me wanting them all. BUT alas our Summer has arrived. One cool day and that’s it for us Houstonians. Maybe my blog should be about the weather, bc that is all I’ve been whining about lately.

    Take care,

  4. Love this outfit! I think the light color of the sweater makes it a great transition piece and pairing i with white jeans was the perfect choice for pre-spring weather!
