Outfit Highlight: Pardon My French

IMG_0487rev1
Apparently, I just can’t get enough of graphic tops. This one was love at first sight. I love the color, the font and the phrase, “Pardon My French,” although I don’t have much use for it 😉 . The limestone color is an interesting combination of a pastel pale yellow with a hint of neon. The pullover is light in both color and weight and it’s perfect for spring. And remember the skort. I think everyone and their cousin was featuring this skort in the blogosphere a couple of years ago. When I first saw it on a blog, I said to myself that I could never wear it because it was too short, too youthful and I probably couldn’t pull it off. Just out of curiosity, I had to try it on one day and just like that I was a convert. First of all, it’s super comfortable, it’s surprisingly flattering and the fact that it’s a skort, instead of a mini skirt, somehow makes it more acceptable in my mind. I finished the look with a vintage Coach bag and my favorite bargain find, sunnies from Forever 21.

  1. I adore this outfit and you! Since finding your blog I have admired your personal style, the way you write, and the way you present yourself. Just wanted you to know. 🙂 I think the skort is fantastic and had a similar experience. I wasn’t sure it was for me and then tried one on and loved it. Unfortunately it was a little short, and I haven’t found another one. Hope you had a great weekend!

  2. Can I just steal Amy Ann’s words for this comment? I love this outfit and your overall style. You look awesome in this skort and I love the way you styled it. I have been intrigued by this piece for awhile because I’ve seen some great outfits with it just like yours, but haven’t been able to try it on in person. It sounds like that’s the deal maker or breaker for most people, so I will keep my eyes out for a similar piece in person because it is so fun and unique!

  3. So cute & chic! And that color is fab and looks amazing on you (and I don’t think it would look great on that many of us!).

  4. Yellow is great for Summer and is really big this year. I am growing to like skorts although I wasn’t sure about them at first. That’s a cute little bag too!

  5. That Skirt and those Shoes are AWESOME (yes, in caps!!) I love the fun graphic top too and the pretty lemon color. You always look great.

Thanks for your latest sweet comment, too. I also love the Outfits you liked. I always love when you stop by Cynthia. Also, I’d love for you to follow me on Bloglovin. I support your blog 100%. =)) You have FANTASTIC STYLE. Such a Chic Mamma!! =)

  6. Love the pullover! And I like how you kept everything else basic to let it be the focal point.

  7. I’m glad you decided to give the skort a shot – I think it looks amazing on you! And it really does seem like such a versatile piece!

  8. I love your graphic tee and the colour is very unique. Love the simple outfit combination. I remember when this skort was so popular on the blog-sphere, I wanted one so desperately. I finally got one, rocked it but eventually gave it away since it was too short.
