On the Hunt for...White Sandals

I am a woman on a mission to find the perfect white sandals. My goal is to find the right combination of style, comfort and value. I can be very picky when it comes to these things and sometimes it takes me so long that I get decision fatigue and forget what I was looking for in the first place. Part of the problem is that I can’t decide what I want. Do I want flats for comfort, on trend block heels, summer wedges or sleek dressy heels? I’ve tried on several of the sandals listed above but I wasn’t 100% sold on any of them. I’ve highlighted a few of the ones that come close to possibly being THE one and some others that I’ve tried on. I’m curious to know your thoughts. Which ones would you go for?

Flats…

Zara Flats
Contrary to my first impression, these Zara flat sandals (#3) were extremely flattering and comfortable on my feet. The only thing that did not make a good impression on me was the price, which was reasonable, but not for casual summer sandals in my book. I was happy to find out that they went on sale recently so these are still a viable option.

Block Heels…

Plomo Margot Sandals
I love these dressy Plomo block heel sandals (#8). The gold heel gives it a touch of luxury. I can totally see myself wearing them, but not that often and therefore I cannot justify the price, even on sale! I also tried on the Sam Edelman sandals (#5) and I liked everything about it except the T-strap thong which kept digging into my skin between my toes. I so wished they were comfortable because I love the style. I’ve also tried the other two in this category. The Charlotte Russe sandals (#6) were cute but not as comfortable as I thought they would be. I have no idea why but the Nine West sandals (#7) made me look and feel like a nurse. And there’s nothing wrong with that except it just wasn’t the look I was going for.

Wedges…

Louise et Cie Wedges
If I were to decide on wedge sandals, these Louise et Cie Lo-Tadea wedges (#10) would be it. They seem to have the perfect balance of comfort and style and they are on sale! The problem is that I can’t find my size anywhere. I also tried the Guess wedge sandals (#12) and although I love the way they look, they are way too high for my comfort.

Dressy Heels…

BCBG Farley Sandals
This sleek BCBG high heel sandal (#16) is typically what I would go for. It is a bit on the high side but if I were to base it solely on style, this would definitely be one of my top choices. However, I’m not 100% sure if a dressy high heeled sandal is what I want.

  1. I can totally relate to the decision fatigue! That happens to me sometimes too. At the beginning of the search I feel excited, but at some point I am ready to give up.
I really like #5 – just from the photos they appeared to be a good mix of stylish and comfy with the lower heel. Sorry to hear they didn’t work out. Good luck on your search!
