Beauty Highlight: My Latest Skincare Obsession

My Latest Skincare Obsession

I’m super excited to share my latest beauty obsession with you. Some of you may be hearing about this product for the first time as it’s been in the U.S. market for only about 7 months now! Laneige is a cosmetic brand owned by Amore Pacific, one of the largest cosmetics company in South Korea. It recently became a professional skincare brand focused on Advanced Water Science™ and was introduced to the U.S. exclusively through none other than Target.

I heard about Laneige for the first time thru a friend of mine who is very well informed when it comes to Korean beauty products. Korean women are known for going to great lengths to care for and maintain the youthful appearance of their skin (yours truly excluded). When she told me that this popular Korean brand was available at Target, I was there the very next day to scope out the product. I purchased their Perfect Renew Emulsion, the Bright Renew Night Cream and the Water Sleeping Mask that my friend swore by.

I’ve been using the emulsion and the night cream daily for a couple of months now. I really like the texture and how smooth it goes on the skin without feeling greasy. The Perfect Renew Emulsion is part of their anti-aging line and it’s not only supposed to replenish thirsty skin but also soften the look of wrinkles and fine lines. I also chose the Bright Renew Night Cream to help fade and prevent dark spots, which are multiplying on my face by the minute (not kidding!). And of course, the Water Sleeping Mask, which came highly recommended. I use the mask about once a week. It should be applied after your moisturizer and it’s an overnight leave-in treatment that is rinsed off in the morning. I can honestly say that my skin felt really soft and moist the next morning.

Only time will tell if their claims are indeed true but so far, I am very impressed with the Laneige brand. I can’t wait to try their other products, especially their BB Cushion, which is the latest and greatest in BB cream technology. I’ve been a Shiseido user for a long time but I have to say that Laneige is giving Shiseido a run for its money, especially because of its lower price point. It’s true that the Laneige brand is a bit higher in price than most drugstore brands but it’s definitely well worth it. And let me add that this is NOT a sponsored post.

  1. I’ll have to check out this brand! I’ve been using Shiseido for 10+ years and am in need of new moisturizers, so I’ll take a look. Thanks!
