Favorite Fall Trends Roundup

Fall is coming to an end and winter is fast approaching, which means it’s time for my fall trends roundup! This is becoming one of my favorite posts to work on because I get to showcase my favorite trends of the season and my favorite bloggers sporting those trends. I have to say though, it’s not an easy task, especially because there are so many bloggers and outfits that I’d like to feature. It’s hard to narrow them down to just a handful. Well, I guess there is always next time.

The Blanket Scarf

How can I not talk about the blanket scarf? It’s like not talking about the elephant in the room. Everyone and their cousin owns a plaid blanket scarf, especially the one I’m wearing above. It’s the Zara scarf turned Target, Forever 21, ASOS, etc, etc, etc…scarf. But how can you blame us? It’s just one of those must-have items. I was glad to see blanket scarves in different colors and patterns as well. I love Bethany’s dark plaid scarf against her bright cobalt blue sweater. Tatiana’s houndstooth scarf is so classy and I fell head over heels for Mahshid’s grid print scarf.

Mad for Plaid

Aside from the plaid blanket scarf, everyone seemed to be mad for plaid this season. You couldn’t read a magazine, a blog or go shopping without seeing plaid. Thank goodness I love plaid! I love the buffalo plaid on Marta, it just pops. Shanna’s plaid fringe cardigan is the epitome of trendy and it’s from Forever 21! And I love Carylee’s plaid and vest combo with a more subdued color palette.

Camel Classics

Camel is one of my favorite colors of this season. I finally got my camel blazer that I’ve been hunting for a long time. I love the cut and collar of this one from J.Crew. Jennie’s ensemble has all the elements of the perfect fall outfit. I love Amy Ann’s camel coat and she really hit it out of the park with this super trendy outfit. Jess is looking so classic chic with the tan boots and oversized camel colored sweater, another favorite trend of mine from fall and probably thru winter.

Faux Fur Fest

The faux fur vest was also seen everywhere, especially in the beginning of this season. I love that it can add a touch of glam to any outfit. Marianne styled her vest to perfection, so chic! Jeannette’s vest pairs so well with her grey OTK boots for a very glam look. I love that Tracy paired hers with a beautiful orchid colored blouse; love the mix of colors and textures!

 Hues of Green

Although green wasn’t necessarily a “hot” color this fall, it was certainly one of my personal favorites. Hues of green, especially teal, caught my eye this season. Surprisingly, I saw different shades of it on several different bloggers. I love Yvonne’s teal and orange combo. What a great color pairing for fall! I thought the addition of green to Ashley’s black and white outfit was the perfect choice. And I love Kimberly’s hot pink and teal ensemble. Just a gorgeous look!

Did you fall for faux fur? Were you mad for plaid? What were your favorite trends this fall season?

  9. I’m not much for trends (I have to snicker a little at the new Pantone color of the year, “marsala” because there was the “oxblood” trend in fall 2012!) but even I can’t get enough of the blanket scarf. A trend that is classic and will look great years for now! 🙂

  10. What a great post and I agree the blanket scarf seems to be the big hot item this fall and winter! It has also been great to see so many different ways to style plaid, who would have ever known? Love the bloggers you chose for this, too!

  11. Omgosh. Thank you for the feature, and I’m so honored to be beside such amazing bloggers! I love this type of post, and seeing how people style a certain trend differently. Especially the plaid! I love the wide range use of plaid from top to dress to cardigan. Thank you for the love and support. Wishing you and your family all the best during the holidays.
