Leather accents seem to be popping up everywhere these days. They come in the form of leather trims, leather sleeves, leather pockets and leather panels, and adorn everything from silk blouses to tweed dresses, giving way to an array of mixed media styles. My first venture with leather other than shoes and belts was a bomber jacket I used to wear back in high school. Not much has changed since then. I never thought to venture out beyond the leather jacket because I’ve always equated leather pants and tops with crazy rock musicians. Somehow this Halogen leather front top’s clean cut style and simple silhouette didn’t seem as intimidating. And with my continued obsession with burgundy, the color was definitely a selling point. Tuxedo pants had been on my wish list for a while and I was finally able to find one to my liking that I could actually afford. This one happens to have faux leather stripes.
