Happy 2014!
I tried to stay away as long as I could. But I just couldn’t help myself. The post-holiday sales were just too good to resist. The “additional 40% off” was calling to me and I finally gave in. I’ve acquired a few items recently that I cannot wait to wear. Every time I buy an item I think of how it can be incorporated into my existing wardrobe. If I find that I have to purchase an entire ensemble just to accommodate that one item, I usually pass on it, unless of course I absolutely can’t live without it. Thankfully, I can easily pair my recent purchases with existing items in my wardrobe and come up with whole new outfits. I’m sure I can come up with several more variations but here are three that came to mind right away.
Today’s natural high: Singing and dancing the night away with family and friends as we celebrated the New Year.

I know, I love the dress too! Thanks for stopping by!
I totally agree about figuring out how the new item will fit into your existing wardrobe. The only times I’ll splurge on an entire new outfit is for very special occasions, and even then, that whole new outfit should remix in with the rest of my clothes to wear it again later!
