When I first saw this tunic at BCBG, I was immediately enamored with the print and color combination. I was hesitant about purchasing it though, because I didn’t think it would be a very versatile piece. It turns out that I was wrong. I pulled out a few items from my existing wardrobe and before I knew it I had a few different outfits with this oversized tunic as the centerpiece. I’ve featured two of them here. For the first outfit, I paired the tunic with a long cardigan for a more casual look, perfect for a lunch date or even the office. I used to work in advertising (digital advertising specifically) and compared to the creative folks at my office, this would be considered dressy. I thought the second outfit would be great for a girls’ night out with the structured blazer, faux leather leggings and dressy clutch. I also added red lips and a few more accessories. I initially thought the tunic was too long but I actually like the fact that it’s almost like a dress and perfect to wear with leggings.
Today’s natural high: I’ve been feeling discouraged lately for various reasons. The weather definitely doesn’t help. I just started a bible study with my church small group on Max Lucado’s book called Grace. In the first chapter, Lucado says “Grace is God as heart surgeon, cracking open your chest, removing your heart – poisoned as it is with pride and pain – and replacing it with his own.” The knowledge that Christ dwells in me is reassuring and the fact that He’s changing me from within on a daily basis gives me confidence. One of the verses that Lucado uses in the book also helped me put everything into perspective, “We will be confident when we stand before the Lord, even if our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.” (1 John 3:19-20, NLT).

Both of these lis are great! What a pretty tunic to style. Also, I love Max Lucado, he always paints the best picture of what God is trying to do in our lives. My favorite by him is “it’s not about me.”
Thanks, Ginny. Max Lucado is one of my favorite Christian authors. His books are usually easy to read and yet have profound insights.
