These are my top five picks for beauty products that are good enough for me (as in my standards) and that my daughters love to use. All are non-toxic and safe for kids. Some claim to be all-natural as well as organic. A couple of these products I’ve been using for a long time while others are recent finds. The most important thing is that they have my kids’ approval.
1. eos Lip Balm
These are so popular, they sell them at Costco by the bulk. My girls have been begging me to get these for them and I was pleasantly surprised to find out they are 100% natural, 95% organic and antioxidant rich. They look like Easter eggs and come in 8 different colors and flavors. No wonder my girls love them. They also have the hand lotion equivalent, which are equally cute and easy to pop into a pocketbook.
2. Fairy Tales Rosemary Repel Conditioning Spray
A friend of mine introduced me to this product as we were talking about the frequent outbreak of lice in our schools. Knock on wood, my girls never had lice problems and I hope to keep it that with the help of this repel spray. In their website, they claim that it’s clinically proven to help prevent head lice and the fact that it’s made with organic herbs and natural plant extracts is a bonus. It also softens and detangles the hair, which is super important for someone like me with three girls. Thankfully, my girls love the rosemary scent.
3. Burt’s Bees Honey & Grapeseed Oil Hand Cream
Now who doesn’t like Burt’s Bees. I’ve used everything from their lip balm to their acne spot treatment. So it was natural that I try their hand cream. I like the fact that it’s not greasy feeling and doesn’t leave an oily residue. The fact that all of their products are at least 99% natural and they’re an eco-friendly company are big selling points for me. My daughters noticed the sweet scent of this product right away the first time they tried it. I don’t even have to tell them to put it on in the morning. They do it voluntarily.
4. Honest Shampoo & Body Wash
I had heard about The Honest Company, founded by actress, Jessica Alba, but didn’t give it much thought until I found their shampoo & body wash being sold at Costco. Yes, I’m a big fan of Costco. I’m always on the lookout for natural, organic products for my kids so when I read about the Honest Company, I was happy to find out that their focus is to provide organic and plant-based products that are toxin-free. I had my girls test the shampoo a few days ago and they gave it a thumbs up.
5. Jamberry Nails
When I was approached by a Jamberry Nails consultant about their product, I have to admit I was a little hesitant at first. I’m not much of a manicure person so I had my doubts about whether this product was for me. But it looked like so much fun and I knew my girls would love to try them so I decided to give it a test-drive. Our first application was a little awkward but it really didn’t turn out that bad (see second photo above). I can totally see myself becoming a pro at it after a few tries. The operative word here is FUN! This is something fun to do with your daughters and even their friends. I would definitely wear them myself to a fun party and I can already see how great they would be for Halloween. The best part is that it doesn’t smell like nail polish and it’s also non-toxic. They have over 250 designs plus a Nail Art Studio where you can design your own. Now how fun is that!
The Jamberry Nails samples were provided free of charge but the review in this post offers my own honest opinion.
Today’s natural high: For my 6-year-old’s half birthday celebration at school (her birthday is in the summer so we celebrate her half birthday at school), we brought a book to donate to the class and took turns reading it to the class. We also got to have lunch together. These are the simple things in life that make me happy.

I love Honest Co’s Healing Balm. If you get the chance, try it! Jamberry didn’t work for me, since my nails curve in 2 directions, so it was like trying to put duct tape on a ball without getting any wrinkles. :/
I enjoyed reading this. I used to work as a Nursery teacher and head lice was such a massive problem. I never got them and I’m sure it was because I always use tea-tree shampoo and conditioner so any products that help prevent lice definitely get a huge thumbs up from me. I haven’t used any of the above products but I’m a fan of anything that contains honey so the Burt’s Bees hadn cream will be going on my wish list! thank you for sharing!

I’m hosting a beauty link up today too, I’d love for you to come join the fun 🙂 I’m crazy about Burt’s Bees products, I’ll have to check out this hand cream.
I love nail decals and I have been so intrigued by Jamberry! They have the cutest designs. I love EOS balms, too! They are so convenient in the winter months.
xo Always, Abby
I love Jamberry Nails!
I really want to try those nail decals. My manicures never last long enough and I’m not crazy about what gel manicures do to my nails.
Hey, I’ve been wanting to try jam berry for a while. It’s good to hear that they go on easily…i bought another company’s french manicure and it was a nightmare to put on. It was impossible to get the tips straight.
Take care!
I have not used any of the above products but definitely take a look at the EOS lip balm on my next Costco visit! Thank you for sharing.
xo,
Janise
