I love my skinny jeans just as much as the next person but I’ve got to admit, I miss wearing wider leg pants. I still remember back in the day when flared jeans were all the rage and I would hear people swear that they would never wear anything else. Well, I guess never say never because I’m sure those same people have a closetful of skinny jeans now. I’ve been seeing, or at least noticing, a lot more wide-leg pants, 70s inspired looks lately. I’ve been wanting to put together a similar look for a little while so when I saw Rebecca from Red Tag Chic Los Angeles looking fabulous in her 70s inspired outfit here, I knew I had to do it. I was so excited to find these summery wide-leg pants at Anthropologie. The minute I tried them on I knew I had to have them. They’re soooo comfy! I also found this super cute top with what I thought was just another random print, but when I looked closely I realized they were little monkeys! Now who could pass up this adorable blouse with little monkeys on them?! I sure couldn’t. I finished the look with platform wedge sandals and a holographic clutch from Express. It reminded of disco balls. Yeah, I’m probably reaching there.

I haven’t worn flares in ages but I do love the way they give such a relaxed, summer vibe to an outfit like this. Love the print on this blouse and hey…great clutch! Ha ha. You look great as always, Cynthia!

Gorgeous pants! Love these! And you styled them perfectly! I’ve been so into the skinny leg thing that I have not tried wide leg pants in a long time… might be time to switch it up a bit!

One of my favorite things to wear in the summer are lightweight tops, wide-ish leg chinos and flat sandals. There’s something so resort casual about it that makes me so happy! And you fit the part so well – you look amazing! Love everything about this – and what a fun print!
Wonderful styling of your wide leg trousers! I mentioned the longer tunic for a boho style in my post and you certainly have created this fabulous look perfectly well!
I agree, these trousers are super comfortable – and stylish at the same time.
Thank you so much for visiting today!

You look like summer perfection! Loving the wide leg pants! And I’m a sucker for cute animals on anything! Gorgeous as always, Cynthia!
You look amazing in wide legged pants! I like how now a days denim trends seem to be more open (wide legged, boyfriend, skinny), where as before, it was almost kind of frowned upon to wear something different.

Pretty outfit. I love the white, and then the sheer lightness of the top. Seeing you via RW linkup

Such a fun outfit! You wear these pants so well. I got a pair of BR ones from goodwill last year and was so excited but when I saw pictures they looked awful on me. I’ll just have to live though you’re cuteness 🙂
I love how flowy and easy this outfit looks. The monkeys are freaking adorable!!!
I love these pants! This look is so polished and put together.

I am such a fan of wide-leg pants, and you wear them so well, Cynthia! Love the blouse with the whimsical print and the platforms anchor the whole look. Really beautiful!
I LOVE that outfit. So classy. What a lovely location for photos too!
That blouse! I’m a bit of a monkey fanatic, so when I saw in your comment on Lena B., Actually that you had on a monkey blouse, I had to check it out. Just fabulous. And, yeah, I’m with you on the wide leg jeans. Not just the boot cuts, I’m talking full on 1970s hippie flares! Love them!
Love the look of a flowy top and crisp, white pants! Thanks for linking up!!
