For an outfit that is, in many ways, atypical for me, it came together quite naturally. I was on a quick visit to J.Crew to return an item and, of course, I couldn’t leave without quickly scanning the sales rack. This orange blazer caught my eye right away (the last one and exactly my size!), even though I typically don’t go for bright colored blazers. Perhaps it was the feminine puff sleeves, which I hadn’t seen in a while, that piqued my interest. I also found this seersucker eyelet skirt, also not a typical choice. I tried on the blazer and the skirt with the silk striped shirt that I happened to have on at the time along with my slip-on sneakers. Somehow, the whole ensemble just felt right. I would have never thought to combine the striped shirt with the seersucker eyelet skirt. I rarely do mixed patterns so this was a nice change. And I think that the long winter we had left me wanting for bright spring colors. Besides, it’s always fun to mix it up every once in a while.
J.Crew blazer (orange sold out, available in other colors) | J.Crew skirt | J.Crew shirt (similar) | Circus by Sam Eldeman slip-on | Aldo bag | jewelry (at Nordstrom Rack stores) | Coach sunnies (similar)

Love this look on you, Cynthia! I actually just picked up those shoes in black leather and can’t wait to wear them 😉 Really liking your whole aesthetic! So pretty!
Cynthia, you always look like you stepped out of a Catalogue, either a J.Crew or Banana Republic one. So polished. I am loving your blazer, shoes & bag. I too am wearing a (new) blazer today with a striped Oxford Shirt. I’d love for you to check it out!
Enjoy your new week. <3 Ada.

Adorable and unexpected pairing with the sneakers! I love this mixture of prints. Just perfect!
I love bright coloured jackets. You should definitely wear them more often as you can carry off a bold look without the colour over powering you! I love the sofr blue underneath, it seems to work by showing off the bright orange on top! Your shoes look really comfy!
I love this pattern mixing yet it’s so classic. Cute! – J
Super cute look! That bright blazer looks amazing with your eyelet skirt and striped top. Love how you paired a fun, casual loafer with this.
