Hope everyone had a good weekend! The best part about my weekend was the delicious food I got to enjoy. The worst part is that I probably gained about twenty pounds. J and I had a date night on Friday. We enjoyed a nice Italian dinner before heading over to the Detroit Opera House to see a showing of Wicked. Talk about an awesome show! It has all the elements of a great musical.
I also hosted an early Christmas dinner with my parents and my brother’s family last night and I made prime rib for the first time. It turned out better than I expected. It’s a good feeling when people enjoy the food you’ve cooked.
For our date night on Friday, I decided to wear something outside of my comfort zone. I tend to do that for date nights since those nights are just about the two of us. I am more oblivious to the people around us and therefore, less self-conscious about what I’m wearing, if that makes any sense.
Like many other bloggers, I’ve given up on my search for OTK boots. Whenever I try on a pair, I always feel like the boots are wearing me. And like many other bloggers, I’ve decided to try these Peekaboo OTK tights I happened to find on one of my trips to the mall. I have to be completely honest though. I didn’t really like how they looked on me as much as I did on other bloggers. It was fun to wear them for a night out but I’m not sure I’ll be repeating this look anytime soon.
What I do loooove are my Reese ankle boots. You’ll be seeing a lot of them. I promise.

Dear Cynthia, you look amazing in that outfit and the OTK tights look so good on you. You should not stop wearing them at all. Really! The whole look is so beautiful and the ankle boots are to die for and truly amazing!! I am glad you got to do so much this weekend and kudos to you for mastering the prime rib dinner. My better half LOVE prime rib but according to him it has to be cooked the right way (or not cooked, he likes it super rare like still mooing!) Have a wonderful week and happy holidays my friend. Take care!! XOXO, Jeannette
