Outfit Highlight: Summer Ease - My Rose Colored Shades

Happy Tuesday, my friends!

I meant to post this yesterday but after a long drive back from Chicago, all I wanted to do was fall facedown on my comfy bed. We had great weather while in Chicago and I’m so glad all I had to pack were tees and shorts and not worry about the weather turning chilly.

I actually wore this outfit on our way to Chicago. To me, summer is all about casual, easy, fuss-free fashion and I think this outfit is the perfect example. There is an element of ease about the summer that I love. These scallop-hem tropical print shorts that I happened to find at Kohl’s has become one of my favorite pieces of the season. I’ve been wearing them like every other day, no joke. And I just love the drape of this Banana Republic stripe pocket tee. The cool and sheer fabric is perfect for summer.

My relaxed attitude is also spilling over to my blogging schedule. Since my girls are out of school, I just want to enjoy the good weather with them while it lasts. Lord knows our summers are short. As much as I love blogging and visiting other blogs, keeping a strict blogging schedule is not a priority right now as I realize that time with my family is precious and I may never get it back with my girls growing up so fast. Just keeping things in perspective.

I can’t seem to follow a strict blogging schedule either. I hate the feeling of a hobby becoming a job with a strict schedule, I don’t want that to take the love out of it for me. LOVE the Lauren Conrad shorts.

Such a stylish tee & shorts, love it! The pattern on those shorts is great, too. I know, our summer is almost over… this Sunday, we’ll have 2 weeks left of summer! I can’t believe it. It is hard to blog while the kids are home from school and enjoying time with the kids is so much more important. I love Chicago and its not too far from St. Louis.
