Happy Monday, my friends!
I know a lot of us are ready for fall, especially fall fashion, but I have to say that I’m not in that camp yet. I’m holding on to summer for as long as I can. I’m not ready to let go of the carefree days of shorts, tees and flip flops! Knowing that we’ll have more than our fair share of cooler temperatures here in Michigan, I’m enjoying the warm days of summer down to the very last day.
I was glad that the warm temperatures remained with us this past weekend and I was able to continue to wear shorts and summery tops. I’ve been wearing this embroidered swing top pretty regularly this summer but didn’t get a chance to feature it until now. This is the closest to boho chic I’ll probably ever get, if you can even call it that. Although I love the boho chic look on everyone else, it’s not a look a usually go for. I absolutely love my scalloped hem shorts (so comfy!) and I’m loving pointed toe flats these days like these nude ones from Aldo.
On a different note, I was a little bummed that I didn’t get to attend a Detroit Bloggers meet-up a couple of weeks due to a schedule conflict but I was happy to finally get a chance to meet Grace of Color and Grace. We live like 20 minutes from each other! It was fun chatting it up over lunch and we even found out that we have a mutual acquaintance. I’m sure most of you already know her from her link-up but if you don’t, make sure to check her out!

Such a cute outfit. Love the shorts and shoes.
I missed out on the Loft Scalloped shorts – I didn’t realize Gap had an option too! Love these with the delicate top.
I’m with you…I’m not ready to let go of summer either. Such a pretty outfit! Love that beautiful top and those cute shorts! So jealous you got to meet Grace! I love her!
Hi Cynthia, I’m finally back from a long hiatus and always love visiting your site. You look great in this summer chic look! Love those shoes! I would definitely wear this outfit 🙂
Do stop by when you have a moment and have a wonderful day!
Cute shorts! I am with you… not ready for fall at all yet! I am holding on to summer AT LEAST until labor day weekend haha!

I totally understand not wanting summer to be over yet. I want fall fashion to be here, but I’m definitely not ready for cold weather (or shorter days!). This top is so cute and I really like your flats!

I agree – keep summer as long as we can in the Midwest! It will be freezing and dark before we know it. Although, fall is my favorite season (as long as it is sunny and not freezing). Love your white top. I have something similar and wear it all summer.
Beautiful outfit, love your shoes 🙂
Thanks for sharing at Creative Mondays
While I do love fall fashion, I am certainly not ready for it anytime soon. Since it is still in the nineties around here, I am pretty sure summer looks will be around on my blog for awhile. Very cute look – I really like that it has a boho vibe without being over the top. Hope you enjoyed your vacation, Cynthia!
That shirt is so pretty! I love those shoes too!

adore this girly look! That top was made for you!
Im not ready for summer to end either! I love fall, but I’d rather not rush into it.
I am so with you – as long as there is warmth in the air I will be enjoying every bit of summer. Fall comes too soon as it is!
Of course you steal my heart with scalloped shorts and a white lace blouse.

Hello Cynthia! I hear you about wanting to hold on to summer but living here in Florida, summers for me are the least favorite season of the year. They are brutally hot and humid and temperatures stay high for a very long time (sometimes until November!) I know I will be wearing shorts for a very long time! On the other hand, I know how cold it gets where you live so my sweet friend, I will continue visualizing warmer days for you so that you can continue wearing that super cute top (I truly love it!) and those mega adorable pair of shorts. The shoes are to die for and you look beautiful as always. Have an amazing week my friend. Very glad you were able to meet with Grace and spend some girl time together. XOXO, Jeannette

Boo for missing out on the blogger event, but yay for making a local connection anyway! And I’ll link arms with you and hide from fall as long as we can! Summer is my favorite and I always want to enjoy it but I feel like everyone else starts wishing it away in July! Very cute summer-perfect outfit!

Love the top, and shoes! And I also love summer. Fall will be here soon enough. No need to rush.
I’m with you – I’m not ready to give up summer yet either. I love the detailing of this blouse. So summer chic!

Oh my goodness, HOW cool that you live 20 minutes from Grace (at Color and Grace). I don’t really know any bloggers in St. Louis, but I did meet one that came here to visit family. I love this summer outfit, the scalloped shorts and that white blouse. So pretty!
