Happy Monday, everyone!
As I was looking through my summer fashion posts, I realized that it’s been a while since I’ve gotten dressed up to go anywhere. I was getting too comfortable in my summer t-shirt and shorts combos. So I decided to dress it up a bit for this post. Why not, right? For one, it’s always a good excuse to make a date night. If you’re all dressed up, you might as well go somewhere. Secondly, I kind of miss looking polished every day and having somewhat intelligent adult conversation. Now that all my girls are in school full time, could I possibly consider going back to work? Not impossible. And last but not least, this past weekend marked this little blog’s 2-year anniversary. So I guess it’s good reason to dress up and celebrate!
I’ve said it many times before but you, my blogging friends, are the reason I’m still here. So thankful for all the love and support. It’s definitely been a blessing to my life in so many ways. I’ve been inspired by many of you and hopefully I’ve inspired some of you as well.
This outfit is a good example of inspiration from you. When I saw these d’Orsay pumps on Carylee, I immediately had to inquire about them. Carylee did a good job convincing me to get them and even got Rachelle in on it. I’m so glad I did. I looove them and have been wanting to feature them for a while. And after seeing how amazing Gina looks in all those Barcelona camis, I finally got one for myself. Love that they’re reversible! The fit of this J.Crew A-line skirt is amazing. And of course, I couldn’t stop at one, I also got this awesome chevron print one. Navy is so classic and timeless, I have a feeling I’ll be wearing a lot of it this season.

I love the way d’orsay shoes/pumps look on your foot. They are just so ladylike and pretty. Love the pink! Your skirt is so great too. I always love getting dressed it. I swear it boosts your mood. Congrats on two years! I totally agree about the bloggers being the best part.

So pretty, Cynthia! I absolutely love the blush pink with the navy. I hear you about getting in the “mom uniform” rut. Now that I work at home part-time, I miss the dressing up and adult conversation part, but I don’t think I could go back to a commute and 8-5 office job.
Congratulations on 2 years of blogging Cynthia!! You’ve definitely inspired me not only with your classic & always polished style but also with your amazing writing. You look so elegant in this outfit & love that you were inspired by those fab bloggers!

Thanks lady! I always appreciate your comments.
I am so happy that I didn’t lead you astray with these pumps! They look amazing on you, and I love the way you styled them! Funny – after dressing up for today’s outfit – I felt the same, that I missed dressing up. Though we were quick to change into jeans right after! Ha! It’s all about balance, right?! Congrats on two years!! I’ve always felt you were a veteran!! Always such great inspiration!

I stay at home, too and both of my kids are in school. I am not sure when I will return back to work, but making some money on the blog on the side has been nice. I do miss adult conversation, too! And, I really enjoy dressing up for date nights or no reason, too. I am dying over how cute that blush pink jacket is… and, this entire outfit looks gorgeous on you!
