Happy Monday, my friends!
I’m so grateful that we’re having a real fall season this year. Temperatures are staying reasonably mild, which was not the case around this time the last couple of years. Our family had a busy weekend but it was a good busy. The five of us got to serve lunch together and get to know underprivileged families at a church in the inner city of Detroit. I’m really looking forward to doing more of these types of activities as a family.
70s-inspired looks are on full force so I was excited to re-acquaint myself with flare jeans, which we’re seeing everywhere these days. I was looking for a more updated version of the flare/bell bottoms jeans and I found the perfect ones at the Gap. The high waist hits at just the right spot, the bell bottoms are not too drastic and the stretchy material adds comfort. I thought my bell sleeve shirt along with my bell sleeve cardigan would be a fun pairing for the bell bottoms. And I couldn’t help adding the leopard pumps for a little flair.

Cynthia, that is great that you served lunch to a needy family of Detroit and that you did it together as a family. =)
I clearly love the 70s and Bohemian inspired looks and I did an entire week of those last week, too. I love all of my flare jeans and you are right – Gap usually has some great-fitting and well-made jeans. Your bell button-down and especially that long cozy cardigan are two pieces I am admiring a lot. I am wearing a bell-sleeve blouse with flares on my post, today, also.
Have a great Monday my friend!
Love the flares on you! I always have good luck with Gap jeans. Your oversized cardigan is fall perfection.

How great that you and your family served others this weekend! This reminds me that my family needs to make time to do this sooner than later. Love the jeans. Do you get the regular or shorter length? Do you get them hemmed?
That sounds like a weekend well spent! I hope to get into a tradition of serving as a family when my son gets a little older. I love this look–those are great jeans, and I love them with that cozy sweater and pretty necklace!
I love this outfit and need that cardigan in my life! The detail on the sleeves are adorable.
