Outfit Highlight: Playing with Shapes and Patterns

cutouts7
Today I’m playing with geometric shapes and patterns. I love the geometric eyelet cutouts on this J.Crew top combined with the pastel hue, which softens the look. I paired it with scalloped hem shorts to go along with the scalloped edges of the shirt. I finished the look with gold-toned accessories including a geometric cutout cuff bracelet. The intricate cutouts and patterns keep things interesting and elevate this otherwise simple t-shirt and shorts summer look.

This is the last week of school for my girls and the official start of summer. Hoping for a summer as long as the winter we had.

Have a great week everyone!

  1. Cynthia this is beautiful! So feminine and chic, perfect for summer. Congratulations on the features. They are well deserved. Speaking of features, can I use this post to highlight during our Spring Must Haves on Wednesday? It will be out last week. Since shorts were last week, we are featuring a few this week.

  2. I adore all of the pastel colors here, and those shorts. You are one chic momma. Rachel xo btw- I am doing a $25 credit giveaway to Mall of Style jewelry now and until the 23rd, 21 winners will be selected, so if you are interested come on by. Thanks!

  3. I love pretty, feminine looks like this! I really, really, love those sandals. I’m not really that into heels, but they make such a difference.

Your blog header is beautiful! I literally stopped and looked at it before scrolling down to read the post. I found you through the #MondayFunday link up.

  4. This outfit is perfection head to toe. I love the shorts and top. So pretty, classy and chic. I am glad Amy highlighted it in our Spring Must Have post today. And all of your features are very well-deserved, Cynthia. Your style is impeccable. =)))

  5. Wow – I love everything about this look! Those scalloped hem shorts are my favorite, though. Really wonderful look!

  6. This is definitely one of my favorite outfits of the week. It’s so feminine, simple, and clean. Scalloped edges are definitely one of my favorite trends of the season because there is something that is still subtle and timeless about it. And I wish that blouse was still available!
