Outfit Highlight: Holiday State of Mind

Happy Columbus Day, my friends!

I’m so thankful that we had a glorious warm sunny day yesterday, the perfect day to take these pictures. I really do appreciate a day like this in October, especially in Michigan.

I don’t know about you but October is the month where the word “holidays” starts lingering in my mind. I know most of us are thinking about Halloween for the time being, but my mind can’t help wandering over to the imminent slew of holidays coming our way once Halloween is over. I know there will be a few holiday parties we’ll be going to, some casual, some a little more dressy. For me personally, if I leave holiday outfit shopping to the last minute, I never find anything I like so I have to start early.

When I spotted this floral midi skirt on SheIn, I knew right away this would be the perfect skirt for one of the holiday parties. I’m obsessed with florals, especially on a midi skirt. This particular skirt has enough fullness to keep things dressy but versatile enough that you can dress it up or down. Love the fact that you can find the latest trends on SheIn at extremely affordable prices. Just remember to size up and allow yourself at least a couple of weeks for delivery.

On another note, I had the pleasure of meeting Ada of Elegance and Mommyhood last Friday. I appreciate Ada’s sweet comments on my blog so it was really nice meeting her in person. I love meeting bloggers in person because I feel like I’m getting to know the whole person and not just what I see and read on their blog. We had a lot to talk about as we are both moms and I found out we both used to work in marketing. Make sure to check out her blog, if you haven’t already!

  3. I love the print on this skirt and after seeing almost every blogger style it, I like yours the most. The location for this photo shoot is also on point which makes this entire outfit amazing! Thank you for taking the time to create such wonderful images

  4. Beautiful, feminine, chic and modern as always. I love that skirt, have loved it on every blogger I have seen it. Pairing it with dark on top but with pastel nude pumps (which are gorgeous) was a great idea. Beautiful and stylish as always, on the blog and in real life too. =)

Have a Great Monday and a wonderful week my friend! <3 Ada.

  5. And thank you so much for your wonderful shout-out and super sweet words about me and also using the link of my blog. It was my pleasure meeting you IRL as well and we will do it again, hopefully before the Holiday Season starts getting really busy. Maybe we can do a little bit of shopping for our girls for Christmas. =)

How nice that you met up with another blogger in person. We are so much more than our websites and it’s wonderful to put a voice and personality to a face.

    Have a great day!

  8. That is so neat that you got to meet, Ada! I just sent her a little gift package, we are both exchanging packages for fun. It seems there are a lot of bloggers in Michigan. I also used to work in Marketing (its been 2 years!). I just love that skirt, it is so rich and the floral pattern is great. SheIn seems to have a lot of great pieces!
