As I was contemplating what to wear to a wedding over the weekend, I couldn’t decide which accessories would work best for the occasion. As I was trying on different items, I realized that this simple Madewell LBD was versatile enough to wear to multiple occasions based on the different sets of accessories I was trying to decide on. The gold/silver tone accessories, with the mixed metals and geometric designs, paired with a structured blazer felt appropriate for a workplace holiday party. The blue/pewter color scheme with the glittery belt and clutch seemed like the perfect combination for a New Year’s Eve party. Finally, the accessories that I decided on for the wedding was a sparkly collar necklace with a shimmery wrap and clutch in taupe tones. Knowing that the wedding venue was in a plant conservatory (aka greenhouse), I wasn’t sure how cold it would be so I opted for the wrap and ankle boots for extra coverage. Curious to know which one you like best.
Today’s natural high: After a couple of delays, we finally got our new main entry doors installed just in time for Christmas! The new doors make such a difference. I tweeted a picture of it here.

If I *had* to pick, I’d say the New Year’s outfit is my favorite, although it’s a tough decision because I also very much love the dress with the booties! I also love the texture of the dress – it kicks it up a notch from just being like any old LBD. Thank you for sharing your look with the Holiday Style Linkup!
Thanks for the feedback, Carylee! I have a feeling I’ll be wearing each of the three versions at some point. Had a chance to browse thru your blog. Love that you can mix and match different patterns and colors and make it work.
Pretty blog! I just found you through the holiday link-up on More Pieces of Me. I love your dress, and the way it serves as a canvas for any jewelry or bag!
Thanks, Noelle! Oh, and you know what I love most about this dress, it has pockets! I just stopped by your blog. I love how you add a pop of color to your outfits thru bright colored pumps. I’m still working on taking more risks with color.
So glad to have you joining the Holiday Style Linkup. These are all very elegant and beautiful looks! I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them…I’d probably pick the workplace holiday party look as my favorite because I’m a sucker for a blazer with anything, plus I love the edginess of the necklace and the studs on the shoes there.
