Outfit Highlight: Preppy With a Side of Whimsy

After a hectic yet fun-filled Christmas Eve party with family, and after being woken up at the crack of dawn by my girls begging to open gifts, my favorite thing to do on Christmas Day, and sometimes continuing on to the next day, is to just chill at home with my girls and hubby, reflect on the past year, look thru the Christmas cards we’ve received, especially from friends we haven’t seen in a while, and then watch movies all day. I think to myself, this is the life and we are truly blessed, all because of the gift we were given in Christ.

This sweater didn’t get much wear at first after I purchased it last winter. I just couldn’t make it work. But when I found this cute polka-dot shirt at the Gap, I thought it would go perfectly with this sweater. I especially love the whimsical fox print intermittently placed among the polka dots. The perfect outfit for a relaxing day at home.

Today’s natural high: Watching the Anne of Green Gables trilogy with my girls, one of my favorite movies of all time.
