The little red dress (LRD) should be part of everyone’s wardrobe. This fun and vibrant color is eye-catching and adds that extra flair to any look. I bought this Madewell dress last year and never got a chance to wear it until now. I would call this a hassle-free dress. The cut is roomy, the silk is cool and soft to the touch and you can’t help but feel carefree in this dress. I thought it was the perfect dress to wear to a relaxed early Sunday dinner with my family. And the way I dressed it down, it would also be appropriate for a casual 4th of July backyard barbecue with family and friends.
Enjoy the short holiday week!

You look great in red, and I’m excited that it’s 4th of July this week so I can wear red without feeling like I’m making a BOLD COLOR statement. LOL. Red is so eye catching that I get a little uncomfortable in it sometimes. (That probably sounds weird…oh well.) Anyway, love your LRD and casual styling!

You look great in red! I never thought of an LRD as a basic as I always imagine them as very fancy for some reason. However, this is a very chic casual outfit that looks great on you! You might have changed my mind about the LRD.

That little red dress is so cute paired with the knotted sleeveless chambray and denim jacket on top. Totally Americana and perfect for an evening 4th of July BBQ. I love love those slip-ons so much.
