Between driving my girls to and from different camps and after-camp activities, my husband being away for a week on medical missions, and having lots on my mind lately, I haven’t had much time for anything else, one of them being shopping. I guess it’s a good thing in a way. I’ve been reading a lot of posts from fellow bloggers about shopping their closet instead of continuously buying new items. I took their cue and I’ve been shopping my closet lately. And I thought it was the perfect time for another edition of “Closet Revival,” which I first published here.
Both the blouse and skirt in this outfit go way back, I’m talking waaaay back. After all these years, they still remain two of my favorite pieces to date. They’re oldies but goodies. OMG, as I’m writing this post and paying closer attention, I realized that I’m wearing Banana Republic from head to toe with the exception of the bag. This was not intentional! Oh well, what can I say, it’s a good combination. I especially love the skirt which I tied into a side bow. I love how this simple twist dresses up the whole look. The heels were actually a more recent purchase. I thought I’d add a little pop of color to the neutral palette.

Voted! Love the bow detail and ruffled sleeves in this outfit – they were so fun and made the whole look so light.
Thank you for voting, Madaline!
What a gorgeous white pencil skirt, Cynthia. That bow sash is awesome. The shoes are beautiful too. Python looks so fresh with White.
Happy Monday Dear!!
Thank, Ada! You always have such nice comments.
Very pretty and I loovvvveee your heels. I’ve been missing out on my dressy clothes all summer so I’m excited to shop my closet this fall. Every year around this time (and in spring) I scramble to wear all my favorite things before the seasons change and I’m out of luck until next year.
I know I totally do that too. Thanks for stopping by.
Cynthia- LOVE every bit of this look! I want those shoes!!

Love this outfit and the summer styling with the white skirt. That top looks so versatile – I can see it with a blazer or jeans or any number of ways dressed up or down. I’m sure that’s why you’ve held onto it for awhile! Love the bright orange strap on the heels!

Love love love how you tied the bow on the side, really adorable. And I love when that happens, things just all match, (Banana Republic)! Sometimes I forget where the pieces are from, throw it all together, then realize, wait, this is all from…. (insert store here). Love how it all works!

Thanks, Clare! I don’t typically notice where the pieces are from but I did for this outfit as I was doing the links. Hey, as long as it works, it really doesn’t matter where they’re from.
I love EVERY piece in this look! The skirt, the shoes, the top – all are perfect together or as separates. Thanks for linking up with MWM! xo
Thank you Cynthia for your sweet comments. This is a nice classic look on you. I shop my closet ALL the time but I know I am due for fall and winter shopping soon. God Bless!
