I think the last time I had anything custom tailored was over 13 years ago when I purchased my wedding dress. So when I had the opportunity to have an item custom fit for me from eShakti, I didn’t hesitate, especially since I had read such good things about them already from many other bloggers. eShakti offers both style and fit customization for women size 0 through 36. There were so many styles and options to choose from, it was hard to narrow it down to one. In the end I decided to take a risk and pick out an item that would normally not be my first choice, a midi skirt. I was a little hesitant about the style but I figured, it would at least be a perfect fit. Well, I was right. The skirt fit like a glove. The fact that the skirt had pockets was a bonus.
I was originally going to pair the skirt with a fitted striped shirt but when I saw this burgundy crop top on one of my shopping trips, I decided to step out of my comfort zone once again. At least I knew that the skirt was high enough on the waist that it would not expose my midriff. Overall, I’m happy with the end result. I’m not completely convinced that midi skirts and crop tops are the best choice for my body shape and height but it was fun trying something different and maybe I just have to warm up to them.

Love the look. I’m a big fan of anything bordeaux, red, wine, blush… What size are you wearing in the top?

Hi Skye! Good to hear from you! Were you referring to wines or the color? Haha! I’m with you either way. My top is a size small. Hope all is well with you and thanks for stopping by!
Haha…the beverage of course! And thanks for the size reference!!
I think you look great! Midi-skirts are not for me, I’m just too square, but I love this skirt and top combo on you! Leopard heels would be fun with this next time too!
Thanks, Ginny! Awesome idea, I will have to try leopard heels next time.

This midi skirt is beautiful on you and that crop top accents it wonderfully… those two colors blend well together, too! I had such a hard time selecting my piece when eShakti contacted me, but it is always fun to pick out something you normally wouldn’t purchase. I think you did well! And, I love that they offer pockets!!

I think you made a good choice by going with the crop top. I love your style Cynthia- so classy. The skirt was a good choice too!!

Stop by sometime 😉
Omgosh, I LOVE midi skirts. If it were possible, I’d wear them everyday. Unfortunately, they don’t shield me from Jersey’s cold weather, so it’s out of the question..or is it?? and yay for pockets!
Btw, midi skirts and crop tops are amazing for short women! I should know since I’m 5’2″. It brings up my waist and elongates my legs which makes me look taller. How tall are you?
I’m 5’4″ but I think for me it’s just a matter of getting used to midi skirts. I’ve liked seeing them on many different women with different body shapes so I agree that midi skirts can look amazing.
