Happy Monday, my friends!
My girls’ last day of school is tomorrow, which means no more rushed mornings, at least for a while. It also means less alone time for me, which may prove to be a challenge when it comes to blogging. I can’t wait for summer camp to start!
I consider today’s look to be the quintessential fashion blogger’s look. How many times have you seen this combination of a chambray top with a black and white striped skirt and a pop of color via the accessories? But I can totally see why it’s so popular. This ensemble just works. It has all the right ingredients for a great outfit. It’s become a classic iconic look.
Speaking of classic, let me introduce you to Shabby Apple, a clothing company that creates and sells vintage-inspired clothing designed to build confidence and empower women. They offer modernized versions of classy classic looks from the past, both in style and coverage. I love their story, you can read it here when you get a chance.
I’ve been wanting a more fitted chambray top that I could wear with skirts as well as under a blazer, so when I found the Afternoon Chambray Top while browsing thru Shabby Apple’s wide ranging selections, I knew I had to have it. The size small fits me perfectly and I also love the wash that it comes in. This classic chambray top pairs well with a lot of their skirts as well as many pieces in my own wardrobe.

This type of skirt with the wide black+white stripes is a must-have. I own a similar one. The strawberry red heels were a great addition. =)
Yes, this outfit is classic and looks great on you!
Very pretty, classic, outfit and I love your choice of bright shoes! Yes, it’s definitely hard to be a good mom and a good blogger during summer! Good luck to both of us figuring that one out and finding balance!

What a perfect chambray top, and I Love the subtle scallops in the stripes of your skirt.

I would definitely rock this look! I love how soft the chambray shirt looks, they are often times so stiff until you’ve watched them several times 🙂

The mint and red accessories isn’t something I would have thought of, but looks amazing together! The colors play off each other perfectly! Stunning!
You look so pretty with that pop of red ( your shoes)! Chambray really looks perfect with a black and white stripes skirt and is a tried and tested combo. Coincidentally, I also wore this combo about 2 months ago but with a green accent, lol. 🙂
Hugs from Spain!

I need a skirt like that in my closet 🙂 I have a b/w striped skirt, but it is more of a pencil skirt. I really love the color of that chambray top and the red heels look great and give it a nice pop of color.

Gorgeous! I love how light that chambray looks as compared to some others. I just saw a skirt looking just like that at Target and almost snatched it up. And my exact thoughts, “now that’s a fashion blogger skirt.” 🙂

Yes, it’s a common combination, but I think that execution is a key ingredient, and you, my dear, are always the best at execution! I love the fit and pairing of each piece! Good luck now that school is out!!! Carylee | more pieces of me
LOL!! I think you are so right that as bloggers we are have one time or another wore an outfit like this. It would so funny to have a blogger meet up and we all wear the same outfit 🙂 Regardless, everything about this is just perfect and I would wear it in a heartbeat.
