Are weekends ever not busy? Mine was busy as usual but thankfully it was mostly fun. The best part was the beautiful sunny weather we had until it was abruptly interrupted by a major thunderstorm, a dramatic finale to a beautiful weekend.

After a couple of days of torrential rain, temperatures cooled down quite a bit over the weekend. I thought it was the perfect time to wear this soft and cozy short-sleeve knit top that I’ve been dying to wear. Although I have to admit I could have used a cozy jacket as well. It was that chilly! Who doesn’t like a good chambray? It seems like anywhere you look, chambray is the common denominator in a variety of outfits. Its versatility makes it a must-have closet staple for every fashionista. It goes with pretty much anything and can be worn in all seasons. It’s a given that chambray is one of the go-to items during the fall and winter seasons since it’s great for layering. But I find myself reaching for it even in the warmer weather seasons especially since it comes in different styles and weights.

It was a hot and humid weekend but I’m not complaining. I’ve been waiting for this kind of weather for too long. When it feels sticky outside, there is only one place I want to be…at the beach.
