Jordana Paige, Cora bag, Club Monaco Salma open back dress, summer dress, lavender bag, clutch, geometric print, structured dress, structured bag, architectural dress

Happy Monday, my friends!

Are weekends ever not busy? Mine was busy as usual but thankfully it was mostly fun. The best part was the beautiful sunny weather we had until it was abruptly interrupted by a major thunderstorm, a dramatic finale to a beautiful weekend.

The important thing is that I got to squeeze in this photo shoot because I couldn’t wait for you to see this beautiful bag that was sent to me by Jordana Paige. As soon as I set my eyes on this Cora bag, I fell in love with the serenely understated shade of lavender. I also immediately thought of the perfect summer dress to wear with it. Continue reading

6 Reasons to Start Kickboxing + BODYARMOR Giveaway!

kickboxing

Outside of my pregnancy years, when my workout schedule was sadly sporadic, I have been pretty consistent in staying active. I was a casual jogger in my college years, took Tae Kwon Do classes and mixed in aerobics whenever possible. Like everyone else, I eventually joined a gym and worked out as regularly as I could. My husband and I also used to play tennis as often as we could in the summer until we had our first child. I started running again about three years ago, this time more intentionally, keeping a pretty consistent running schedule. This is the problem though…I got bored. I know many people would disagree with me, but I personally find running a little boring. Not that I’ll be giving up running completely but I needed to mix things up. I had heard about kickboxing thru some friends and decided to give it a try towards the end of last summer. It’s been about 8 months now and I still love it! Let me tell you the reasons why kickboxing is my workout of the moment. Continue reading

Outfit Highlight: Hustlin’

Cinder + Salt, #LIKEABOSS, GapFit stripe-panel pants, joggers, Nike Free, activewear, sporty chic
As a mom of three girls, my hope is for my daughters to grow up to be kind, respectful and compassionate young women. At the same time, I wish for them to be confident, bold and fearless when it comes to pursuing their dreams. As we conclude our family vacation here in Disney World, I am reminded of what Walt Disney once said, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” I want my daughters to grow up believing they can achieve anything they set their minds to. I want to instill in them the belief that hard work pays off and that determination opens doors. And that if they’re truly passionate about something, they need to go out there and make it happen.

And that’s why I’m so excited to be collaborating with Cinder + Salt to introduce you to their newest collection, which embodies this go-getter attitude. Their #LIKEABOSS collection was inspired by all the female go-getters out there who are empowered to pursue excellence while at the same time striving to find balance between career and personal goals. Outfit Highlight: Fur, Flare & Fitted Boots

Fur, Flare, Fitted Boots
Hope everyone had a fun Super Bowl weekend! We had consistent snow fall all day long yesterday with 8-10 inches of accumulation. Needless to say, we had a small turnout for the Super Bowl party at our house but the game more than compensated for the small number. And if you enjoy a good game, don’t forget to scroll down to the bottom of this post. I’ve got a little treat for you.

I did some shopping in my closet this past weekend and came up with this fur and flare number. I was on a mission to find fall season items that hadn’t been worn in a while, and that I could possibly transition into winter. You’ve seen this fur vest before here and the flare skirt I wore back in September here. I love pieces that I can wear for multiple seasons. Continue reading
