I’ve been fighting a bad cold all week and it’s been exhausting. The fact that temperatures just decided to drop about 15 degrees did not help. I’m just thankful I had enough of my energy back to take these pictures. But I’m keeping this one short because I still have some resting to do.
I had planned to wear this olive tunic with just the leggings and a pair of strappy heels but it was a bit too chilly for my taste so at the last minute I decided to add the fur vest and booties. I mentioned in my last Weekend Wish List post that I’m loving olive this season and I think this outfit is a perfect example. I have a feeling this Lush olive tunic and the Zara booties are fast becoming my go-to items for this season. Continue reading →
Like many of you, I’ve been taking in all the beautiful fall colors in the world of fashion. As you’ve seen in my fashion posts, I’m loving earth tones and jewel tones. I’m also looking forward to adding a few items to my wardrobe in my all-time favorite fall color, burgundy. Needless to say, I’ve been eyeing quite a few items in these hues and I thought I’d share some of my picks with you. Continue reading →
Last week I talked about jewel tones being one of my favorite hues for fall. This week I’m talking about another one of my favorite color palettes, earth tones and neutrals. There is something calming, grounding and timeless about these hues. They are appropriate for any season but they seem especially well suited for fall. Earth tones remind us of the intrinsic beauty of nature and what it offers not only thru colors, but also thru textures, patterns, etc. Continue reading →
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, my favorite part of fall are the colors it brings. The Michigan autumn foliage is beautiful and fall fashion colors are a feast for the eyes as well. The jewel tones of this blouse and clutch are examples of my favorite hues for fall. And thanks to FABRIZIO GIANNI®, I get to wear them early in the season. If this is your first time hearing about FABRIZIO GIANNI®, they’re an American made women’s clothing brand that believes in quality, craftsmanship and enduring style for the empowered woman of today. They specialize in stretch jeans but also offer a variety of other selections from tops to accessories. Continue reading →
Fall is coming to an end and winter is fast approaching, which means it’s time for my fall trends roundup! This is becoming one of my favorite posts to work on because I get to showcase my favorite trends of the season and my favorite bloggers sporting those trends. I have to say though, it’s not an easy task, especially because there are so many bloggers and outfits that I’d like to feature. It’s hard to narrow them down to just a handful. Well, I guess there is always next time.
How can I not talk about the blanket scarf? It’s like not talking about the elephant in the room. Everyone and their cousin owns a plaid blanket scarf, especially the one I’m wearing above. It’s the Zara scarf turned Target, Forever 21, ASOS, etc, etc, etc…scarf. But how can you blame us? It’s just one of those must-have items. I was glad to see blanket scarves in different colors and patterns as well. I love Bethany’s dark plaid scarf against her bright cobalt blue sweater. Tatiana’s houndstooth scarf is so classy and I fell head over heels for Mahshid’s grid print scarf. Continue reading →
I have to be honest with you. It’s around this time of year, when chilly temperatures start taking over, that my level of energy and motivation slowly begin to wane. It’s a struggle to get motivated to do anything when it’s cold outside. I seriously just want to cuddle up under a warm and cozy blanket and drink hot chocolate all day. Continue reading →
