So when Nancy of I Made This Dish reached out to me to share her 15-Minute Vietnamese Summer Rolls recipe, I had to try it. I would never endorse anything that I haven’t tried first so I did follow Nancy’s recipe as is but I also made some with shrimp instead of chicken. As I continue to follow the Women in the Word series at She Reads Truth, I thought I’d share my thoughts from previous weeks’ stories. The story of Rebekah, the wife of Isaac, stood out to me as it was a great reminder of God’s sovereignty and that nothing, not even the cleverest human devised scheme, can deter God’s sovereign plan. In discussing Rebekah, the author opens her post with phrases that have been banned from her family vocabulary. When she mentioned the words “No fair!” being one of them, I was thinking that one should be at the top of my family list. Continue reading
Who’s excited about the current surge of sporty chic styles in the fashion world? I, for one, am beyond ecstatic. The sporty chic trend got its debut in the realm of men’s fashion about 3 years ago when we started to see tailored suits paired with statement sneakers popping up among celebrities and the fashion savvy crowd. My girls’ last day of school is tomorrow, which means no more rushed mornings, at least for a while. It also means less alone time for me, which may prove to be a challenge when it comes to blogging. I can’t wait for summer camp to start!
I consider today’s look to be the quintessential fashion blogger’s look. How many times have you seen this combination of a chambray top with a black and white striped skirt and a pop of color via the accessories? But I can totally see why it’s so popular. This summer, She Reads Truth is offering a study called Women in the Word, where we’ll be learning about 40 different women in the Bible both in the Old and New Testaments. I’m very excited about this study because I feel there is so much wisdom to be gained from these women, both from the good as well as the bad.

Are weekends ever not busy? Mine was busy as usual but thankfully it was mostly fun. The best part was the beautiful sunny weather we had until it was abruptly interrupted by a major thunderstorm, a dramatic finale to a beautiful weekend.
The important thing is that I got to squeeze in this photo shoot because I couldn’t wait for you to see this beautiful bag that was sent to me by Jordana Paige.
