Happy Monday, my friends!

Having a sick kid right before a family vacation is a little disconcerting but, thankfully, it looks like she’s on the mend and ready for our trip to Disney World. In between getting Valentine’s Day treats ready for school and packing, I had a chance to sneak out for a photo shoot and amazingly, the weather has been my best friend lately, warming up for me on the weekends.

Despite the fact that I have all the winter jackets and coats that I need, I’ve been wanting a cocoon coat for a while. Perhaps it’s the oversized slouchy fit, but there’s something about cocoon coats that exudes a cool, laid back vibe without being sloppy. And because they’re oversized, it’s great for layering. Fur, Flare, Fitted Boots
Hope everyone had a fun Super Bowl weekend! We had consistent snow fall all day long yesterday with 8-10 inches of accumulation. Needless to say, we had a small turnout for the Super Bowl party at our house but the game more than compensated for the small number. I did some shopping in my closet this past weekend and came up with this fur and flare number. I was on a mission to find fall season items that hadn’t been worn in a while, and that I could possibly transition into winter. High on the Word: What God Desires

I had mentioned in this post back in November that I was studying the life of Moses with my local BSF group. We started with Exodus and we have recently completed Leviticus. I wanted to revisit the idea of holiness, a central theme in Leviticus, and share with you a few nuggets of truth that have been reinforced throughout this bible study through Scripture, notes, lectures and discussions shared among the participants.

The book of Leviticus is filled with instructions on how to approach and worship God by way of offerings, rules and regulations related to ceremonial purification, and guidelines for holy living. The instructions are detailed and God makes it clear that they are to be followed just as He commanded. We also learn about the different holy days that were to be observed annually, which, in one way or another, served as a reminder of the Israelites’ relationship with God. Continue reading →

The weather is being nice and cooperative these days. Weekend temperatures have been a little more mild, which works for me because I do my photo shoots over the weekend.

Initially, I envisioned wearing an all-gray outfit because I’m a big fan of monochromatic looks and they typically work beautifully. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

I must have a case of the winter blues because it’s been extra hard to get motivated to do just about anything lately. I feel like my body is using up all the energy to keep itself warm so it has no energy left for anything else. Thankfully, it warmed up a bit over the weekend, and by “warmed up” I mean temperatures in the 30s instead of in the single digits.
